[Information Security]Please do not install or use illegal software on your official computers (ICT equipment). Please use legal and compliant software and comply with intellectual property rights.
Hello everyone:
1. When faculty and staff purchase desktops and laptops with official expenses, do not ask the dealer to install illegal software except for the legally authorized operating system and software installed by the original manufacturer. Legal software must have a certificate of authorization. If there is no relevant certificate of authorization, it is illegal!!! Especially when purchasing a new desktop, be sure to check which programs are installed on the computer during acceptance to see if it is legally authorized. If there is no legally authorized software, please remove it and do not use it!
2. The use of authorized software by the school is limited to official computers used by faculty and staff. Faculty and staff should not install and use it on computers or laptops purchased privately. (Students in school can install authorized software from the school on their personal computers or laptops).
3. Please pay special attention to the computers and laptops in the laboratory or research room. Please confirm that there is no unauthorized or illegal software installed or used (whether it is installed by the manufacturer, seniors, yourself, or others); each IP has an administrator (and user). If the computer (information and communication equipment) of the IP is reported to have software infringement or information security incidents, the administrator and user shall bear the relevant legal responsibilities.
4. Currently, many software have automatic update or feedback mechanisms (including cracked software), which will record the IP, date and time used as legal evidence, so please do not install or use illegal software.
5. If you have taken over a computer, laptop, or server from someone else (colleagues, classmates, seniors, etc.), please format all disks and reinstall the operating system after backing up important data.
6. Personal computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets and other information and communication devices of classmates, teachers, staff, and others are connected to the Internet through the school network (wired and wireless) and IP. If the use of illegal software is recorded and then seized and reported, the legal responsibility will be borne by the individual.
