1. According to the letter No. 11360012000 from Taiwan Intellectual Property Office.
2. According to the provisions of the Copyright Law, downloading and installing computer software is an act of "reproduction", and the "right of reproduction" is exclusive to the copyright owner. Except for fair use as stipulated in Articles 44 to 65 of the Copyright Law, In addition, authorization or consent from the copyright holders of such copyrights should be obtained in advance. Otherwise, downloading and installing pirated software without authorization may constitute an infringement of copyright property rights and subject to civil and criminal liability; those who knowingly install pirated software on their computers and use them will be Same thing.
3. In practice, computer software is often divided into personal editions, teaching editions, business editions or trial editions. The differentiation of these products is made by the copyright owners in consideration of different licensing needs in the market. Users should follow the respective licensing requirements. Even if the software is obtained legally by using the authorization method specified in the version, if the user exceeds the scope of authorization, the copyright property rights may still be infringed due to violation of the "User Authorization Agreement" (Article 37, Paragraph 1 of the Copyright Act) Reference).
4. Faculty, staff and students of our school purchase desktop computers and laptops at official expenses. In addition to the operating system and software installed by the original factory, do not ask dealers to install illegal software. Legitimate software must have an authorization certificate. Without authorization-related certificates, it is illegal!!! Especially when purchasing a new desktop computer, be sure to check which programs are installed on the computer and whether they are legally authorized!
5. If you are taking over a computer or laptop that has been used by colleagues or seniors, after backing up important data, please format the hard drive first, and then reinstall the required legally authorized software. Do not continue to use it.
6. Teachers and students please pay special attention to the computers in the laboratory or research room. Please confirm that no unauthorized or illegal software is installed or used (whether installed by the manufacturer, installed by the senior sister, installed by yourself, or installed by others); each IP There is a manager (and user). If a computer (information and communication equipment) using this IP is reported for software infringement or information security incident, the manager and user shall bear relevant legal responsibilities.
